Newport Cove Marina

The residents of Newport Cove will have exclusive use of the community's new 100-plus-slip marina. It offers permanent pounded piers with polypropylene flow-through decking. Underwater bubblers keep the piers as ice-free as possible during the cold months. Water and electricity are located in the front of each pier at the new seawall.

The piers accommodate boat lifts. To ensure a picturesque waterfront, Newport Cove has specified one style of boat lift as well as one style and one color for lift canopies.

Slips can be either purchased or leased. Purchase price is $22,000 per slip. Lease price for the 2008 season is $1,450. The standard slip size is 11 feet wide and 24 feet long. A limited number of larger slips are available, and their cost is adjusted accordingly.

Waterfront lot owners will have first dibs on the individual piers, each with two slips. The community piers will be open to all residents.

The marina is accessed through Newport Cove's private eight-acre waterfront park. Community golf cart paths lead to the park and its charming pavilion, which houses an outdoor kitchen, picnic area and restroom facilities. A waterfront walkway meanders along most of the community's 1,800 feet of shoreline.
